In cooperation with sociologist Egzona Hajrullahu, the Democratic Institute MOSAIC organized a lecture with the students of “Skënderbeu” High School in Preševo on the topic: “Collective Memory – The Importance of Documentation.”
🎯 The lecture aimed to encourage young people to understand collective memory as an essential part of social identity, while also highlighting the importance of documentation in preserving the history, stories, and lived experiences of the community.
Through an open discussion, students reflected on how memory shapes identity, why it must be passed on to future generations, and how systematic documentation helps protect cultural and social heritage from being forgotten.
We sincerely thank “Skënderbeu” High School for their warm hospitality and the students for their active participation and thoughtful contributions.
✨ MOSAIC remains committed to empowering youth with knowledge and tools to preserve and strengthen community identity.
