MOZAIK extends its warmest wishes to all Albanians around the world on the occasion of 28 November, a day that celebrates our national identity, unity, and historical legacy. This day is a moment to reflect on our shared achievements and the ongoing work required to strengthen democratic principles and European values in our communities.
At the same time, we pay special attention to the Albanian community in Serbia, particularly in the Presevo Valley, which continues to face challenges in fully exercising its national rights. These challenges include limited representation in state institutions, obstacles to preserving and promoting our language, culture, and symbols, as well as barriers to freedom of expression and participation in decision-making processes.
MOZAIK emphasizes the importance of working collectively to ensure that the rights of all national minorities are fully respected, protected, and strengthened. This includes supporting freedom of expression, the use of official languages and national symbols, cultural activities, and equal opportunities in education, employment, and civic life.
On this 28 November, we reaffirm our commitment to promoting democratic values, European principles, and social inclusion, so that every member of our community can fully enjoy their rights and contribute to a fair and prosperous society.
We call on institutions, civil society, and all stakeholders to continue advancing equality, dialogue, and mutual respect, ensuring that minority communities are empowered and their voices are heard.
Happy 28 November. Let us continue working together to uphold rights, strengthen democracy, and celebrate our shared heritage.
